Gorr-list #1: The Best New Music of the Summer

For some reason, summer always seems to be the time when I discover the most new music, whether it's new bands, new songs by old bands, or rediscovered music that's been around for a while. For this Gorr-list, I've decided to introduce you to some of the new music that I've discovered or rediscovered this summer.

Best new artist: Lights

Lights is an electro-pop singer/songwriter from Ontario Canada. Her birth-name is Valerie Anne Poxleitner but she actually had her name legally changed to Lights in 2009. Some of her best songs are Savior, Face up, and River.

Best newly-rediscovered song: Time Stand Still by Rush

I've been listening to Rush for as long as I can remember thanks to my older brothers, and have listened to their nearly-limitless list of songs over and over again. I've always loved some of their most popular songs such as Tom Sawyer, Limelight, and 2112, but have never really paid too much attention to Time Stand Still. If you're a Rush fan, give this song another listen and pay attention to it. If you haven't listened to Rush a whole lot, I definitely recommend you look it up.

Best newish song: Trouble by Pink

I don't actually have a whole lot to say about Pink (or P!nk, whichever you prefer) or this song except for one word, fun. She's a fun artist, and this is a fun song, and I love fun!
