Gorr-News: I'm with Coco

First off, let me just point how ironic it is that, after so much time without an actual post (besides Music Video Mondays, which don't really count) I announce that I will have even LESS time to spend on this blog, then moments later I make my first real post in weeks.

Now, to the news

I have never really been too interested in late night television shows such as "The Tonight Show" "Late Night" "Later Than Late Night" "Tonight" "Later Tonight" etc. However, after moving into my new condo about a year ago, my cousin introduced me to The Tonight Show with Conan O'brien. I must say, I was hooked! That man was so hilarious, so smart, and so witty. Heck, he even LOOKED funny! I looked forward to every weekday night when I could sit and listen to this comedic genius.

Unfortunately, after seven short months of The Tonight Show with Conan O'brien, tragedy struck. Jay Leno, who had been the host of The Tonight Show in years past, was doing a terrible job at getting people to watch his prime-time show. Now, that isn't really tragedy in and of itself since I really don't like Mr. Leno and really wouldn't mind it if he failed miserably, BUT, the network executives decided that they weren't going to give up on Jay Leno completely, so, instead of just cutting him loose, they decided that they were gonna put Jay's show in Conan's time slot and move The Tonight Show to 12:05. Unfortunately, 12:05 is no longer night, it's morning, and therefore how do you have a Tonight show in the morning? Wouldn't it be The This Morning Show? Well, Conan was outraged that they would do this to the show, taking it out of it's perfect time slot and pushing it to a later time just so that Jay Leno could have his show (just get rid of him already!) and, at the end of it all, he agreed to leave and turn the show back over to Jay Leno so that it could stay intact at it's appropriate time slot.

Anyway, why do I tell you all this? Because Conan is COMING BACK! That's right! Starting in just a week or so, Conan O'Brien will have his own show on TBS! Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia (that's right, I'm actually using Wikipedia as a source):

On TBS, Conan will air Mondays through Thursdays beginning at 11:00 p.m., and will be immediately followed by comedian George Lopez on his talk show, Lopez Tonight. Comedian and actor Andy Richter will continue his returning role as sidekick to O'Brien. Conan's long-time house band will continue with the host under the new moniker Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable Band,[3] with Max Weinberg being replaced as drummer by regular substitute James Wormworth, and the bandleader being guitarist Jimmy Vivino, who has regularly substituted for Weinberg during his brief departures.

Anyway, I hope you're all as excited as I am! Heck, you could even come over and watch the show with me some time! Have an awesome day.
